Job summary

Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Tyler, TX is seeking a Welder for our fast-paced manufacturing operation. This full-time role focuses on MIG welding, precise layout work, and ensuring weld quality across vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and maintain safety standards while working with gas regulators and cutting equipment. We offer comprehensive benefits and a stable production environment in Tyler.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Six months plus MIG welding experience or training preferred.
• Able to MIG weld in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tapes.
• Must be able to pass all EHS tests and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures or clamp parts per layout marks.
• Tack welds and welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas for cutting; adjust flame.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality; grind slag and excess weld.
• Read blueprints and measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Hourly Rate: $19.84hrResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesWelds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
