Job summary

Wastequip is hiring a Welder for our Winamac, IN manufacturing operation. The role centers on MIG welding in a high-volume production setting, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and follow detailed work instructions while adhering to EHS policies; this is a full-time position on the first shift with competitive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Pass all safety and EHS testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position parts on jigs and weld components on production line.
• Welds on vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connects regulators and prepares gas for cutting/torch.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality; grind as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Pay: $23.41Shift: FirstResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksWorking in a production line, Welding Refuse trucks assemblyLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesWelds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
