Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welders for a Time Manufacturing Company in Pocahontas, IA. In this role, you'll fabricate and weld components used in high-quality fiberglass service truck bodies and aerial lift equipment while supporting a leading manufacturer in the utility and telecommunications industries.

Qualifications

• Ability to successfully complete an in-house welding test.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to accurately measure and lay out welded components.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding according to blueprints and production specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components using customer drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Measure, lay out, and position welded components accurately.
• Operate grinders, drills, torches, cranes, and other fabrication equipment as assigned.
• Verify part numbers and notify supervisors of material shortages as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

What You'll Do as a Welder:
