Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welders for a Time Manufacturing Company in Pocahontas, IA. In this role, you'll fabricate and weld components used in high-quality fiberglass service truck bodies and aerial lift equipment while supporting a leading manufacturer in the utility and telecommunications industries.

Qualifications

Ability to successfully complete an in-house welding test.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Ability to accurately measure and lay out welded components.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and/or TIG welding according to blueprints and production specifications.
Fabricate and assemble metal components using customer drawings and work instructions.
Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Measure, lay out, and position welded components accurately.
Operate grinders, drills, torches, cranes, and other fabrication equipment as assigned.
Verify part numbers and notify supervisors of material shortages as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
