Job summary

MIRATECH in Knoxville, TN seeks a TIG welder to join our metal fabrication team. You will weld stainless steel parts, read blueprints, and follow QC specs, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.

Responsibilities include interpreting project plans, performing deburring and surface finishing, and assisting with substrate assembly as needed. We value independent workers who deliver high-quality results and adhere to workplace safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year experience with metalworking in a metal fabrication facility.
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce high quality parts in a timely manner.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
• Welding certification a plus; MIG/TIG welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping

Primary Responsibility: The welder has primary responsibility of TIG welding stainless steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities
