Job summary

Unified Disposal Partners is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator at the UDP Mt Pleasant Transfer Station in Mount Pleasant, TN. The role requires hands-on welding, metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and operating shop tools in a production setting.

The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely. Welding certifications are a plus but not required. This is a full-time, on-site position with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with MIG welding required; TIG and/or Stick experience a plus.
• Ability to lift, move, and position materials safely.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on various metals and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and welding symbols.
• Cut, fit, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication tools.
• Measure and inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform grinding, finishing, and other preparation work as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or material defects.
• Work independently as well as with other members of the fabrication team.
• Complete projects within established quality and production requirements.

Job Details: Job Location: UDP Mt Pleasant Transfer Station - Mount Pleasant, TN 38474, Position Type: Full Time, We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and using various shop tools and equipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to work around heat, sparks, fumes, and industrial equipment while using appropriate PPE.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to perform layout and fit-up work.
• Experience with custom fabrication or production welding.
• Familiarity with CNC plasma/laser cutting equipment is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues.

Qualifications:
