Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ year experience with metalworking equipment in a metal fabrication facility.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
• Proficient with tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts and cranes.
• Previous MIG or TIG welding experience is helpful.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs, individually or with a team.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG & TIG welding based on product needs; weld round and rectangular elements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and diagrams to perform tasks.
• Apply quality control standards and specifications.
• Deburr and grind metal to achieve proper surface texture.
• Conserve resources to maintain budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
• Follow welding safety procedures and use PPE provided.
• Possibly perform Substrate Assembly Technician duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: M - F 2:00PM - 10:30PM

Primary Responsibility: The welder has primary responsibility of TIG welding of aluminum and steel (also, stainless steel) parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG & TIG welding based on product needs; welding round and rectangular elements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform necessary task.
• Knowledge of QC and product specifications.
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
• Conserve resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use PPE's provided.
• Ability to perform Substrate Assembly Technician duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
