Olympic Steel is hiring a Welder/Fabricator in Chambersburg, PA to support continuous improvement and safety initiatives. You will set up and weld parts per blueprints or schematics, with responsibilities extending to assembly and warehouse tasks as needed.

The role requires MIG experience, blueprint literacy, and a safety-conscious mindset. The setting is a production environment that values quality and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with MIG welding.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and efficiency.

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.
