Responsibilities
- Read and interpret job specifications to determine machine adjustments and weld times.
- Check and verify parts meet specifications and quality tolerances.
- Detect and report defective products.
- Communicate issues to supervisors, such as equipment problems or maintenance needs.
- Use inspecting tools like tape measures, calipers, protractors, and weld gauges to check parts conformance.
- Complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Maintain a clean workstation, free of debris and defective parts.
- Meet company production standards.
- Perform weldments according to customer specifications and standards (D1.1, D9.1).
- Pass assessments including tape measurement, written knowledge test, and basic GMAW weld test.
- Possess basic fabrication skills: layout, cutting, grinding, fitting.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
