Job Duties

• Prepares surfaces to be welded, fits parts, welds piping and manifolds
• Cut, grind, drill holes and weld steel to blueprint specifications
• May use plasma cutter to cut I-beams and steel plates
• Tack welds scrap metal to outline to provide jig for assembly
• Positions parts in jig and files, chisels, and grinds parts, as indicated, to weld them together
• Anneals parts with acetylene torch to remove stresses of welding

Job Requirements

• Requires 2-4 years TIG or MIG welding experience
• Will weld carbon steel structural shapes and skid frames and chassis
• Must be able to weld from all angles and positions and possess mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks such as stooping, crouching, bending, climbing, and kneeling
