Welder/Fitter - 1st Shift (2000 Hiring Bonus)

Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $28.00/hr, based on experience and skills.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, responsible for welding preparation, welding, and finishing operations according to customer drawings and specifications.

Essential Functions

• Proficient in MIG welding and interpreting mechanical drawings with weld symbols.
• Knowledge of wire and filler materials for steel alloys, aluminum, and exotic materials.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including fixturing and parameter adjustments.
• Perform process inspections, certifications, and documentation.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform finish grinding using manual and power tools.
• Ensure safety, proper housekeeping, and attendance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of welding experience, preferably in a job shop environment.
• Successful completion of internal welding tests and certification achievement.
• Effective communication skills, good math and measurement skills, and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing.
