The Fabrication Welding Technician is responsible for a variety of welding duties, including performing multiple welding processes such as fusion welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. They will handle layout and fabrication of precision weldments from blueprints, utilizing industry-standard fabrication methods. The role involves meeting demands and completing work orders in a timely manner, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of required items, and maintaining safety standards by addressing immediate safety concerns.

The role is physically demanding, requiring work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to loud noises and temperature variations. It involves working in high-paced, high-volume, and quality-controlled settings, often in areas under construction that may require O.S.H.A. approved ladders or stairs. Flexibility for work hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, flame-retardant clothing, and OSHA-approved footwear must be worn at all times.
