Job summary

Wastequip WRX is seeking a Welder to support our Alexandria, LA manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate is a MIG Welder with experience in a fast-paced production setting, capable of reading blueprints and measuring parts to spec.

Responsibilities include tack-welding, positioning parts, and welding along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines while maintaining safety and quality standards. Training available; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG welding in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret specs.
  • Basic math, tape measure reading and fractions/decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
  • Positions and tack-welds parts in jigs or fixtures.
  • Checks bead size and quality; grinds excess welds as needed.
  • Operates equipment safely and follows EHS requirements.

## Welder 1Apply: Alexandria, LA: Woodworth, LA: Boyce, LA: Ball, LA: Pineville, LA: Posted 2 Days Ago: R-101453**Job Description:**Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Alexandria, LA manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**Hourly Pay**: $20.07 - $21.92 (based on experience)**Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
