Wastequip is hiring a Welder for its Eagleville, TN operation with work at Eagleville, Murfreesboro, Spring Hill and Franklin locations. The role requires MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting and offers first-shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with hourly pay from $22.00 to $23.63 based on experience and weld test results.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, measure with tapes, and perform welds in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/Technical School preferred.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tapes.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures; clamp as needed.
• Tack welds using MIG along layout marks.
• MIG welds vertical, horizontal and overhead lines.
• Connect regulators and adjust gas flow for cutting torch.
• Hold and guide torch at proper angle for welding.
• Inspect welds for bead size and specifications.
• Grind or remove excess weld, slag, or splatter.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**1st shift hours:** 6:00AM-2:30PM (Monday-Friday)**Hourly Pay:** $22.00 - $23.63 (based on experience + Weld test/interview)**Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
