Job summary

Wastequip WRX is seeking a Welder 1 in Galt, CA for full-time work. The role focuses on MIG welding, assembling components per prints, layouts and jigs. The candidate will read layouts, set parts in fixtures, tack weld, and MIG weld with emphasis on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires MIG welding experience and the ability to read simple instructions, with basic math and tape measure reading preferred. EHS compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and notes.
• Basic math and tape measure reading preferred.

• Ability to pass all EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and clamp as needed.
• Tack welds work pieces and MIG welds along multiple lines.
• Connect regulator valves to gas cylinders and adjust flow and flame.
• Hilt and guide torch at correct angle to cut metal.
• Inspect weld bead size and quality; grind excess weld and slag.
• Complete tasks per production schedules with safety and quality adherence.

## Welder 1Apply: Galt, CA: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R-101409**Job Description:****Job Summary:**The welder position will have expertise in MIG Welding techniques, by focusing on the assembly of components, parts, and structures as specified by prints, layouts and/or jigs and fixtures. **Pay rate:** $22.82**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces.* MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
