Job summary

A leading technology company is seeking a Manufacturing Welder in Ville Platte, Louisiana. The role requires responsibility for weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations to manufacture products according to specifications. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and preference will be given to those with a technical school certificate and relevant experience. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a related field required.
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend and grind component parts.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
• Examine work for defects.
• Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Drive continuous improvement using the Manufacturing System.

The Manufacturing Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications and other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend and grind component parts.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
• Examine work for defects.
• Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preference of one-year certificate from technical school/college.
• Requires 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
