Welder/Mechanic - Full Time - Piedmont (SC), United States

Join our Services_AME team within the Services division in the United States as a Welder/Mechanic to help us take Sulzer to the next level.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment under limited supervision.
2. Work within appropriate weld procedure guidelines to meet customer/contract specifications and apply knowledge of metals and alloys being welded or cut.
3. Perform work necessary to finish and fit parts to customer specifications, including some pipe fitting/welding.
4. Plan sequence of work operations and methods of setup based on weld procedures and work order requirements.
5. Maintain welding equipment and supplies in good condition and proper storage environment.
6. Assist in disassembly, inspection, and re-assembly of pump equipment as required.
7. Willingness to assist and train in mechanic/machine work when welding is not available.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of two years of experience in cutting, welding, and fabrication of various metals and alloys.
2. Ability to learn and pass various weld certification tests.
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints, and apply knowledge of weld rods, wire, equipment settings, and basic math skills.
4. Possess basic hand tools, precision measuring tools, and proper safety attire as specified by facility requirements.
