Job description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Welder 2nd Shift to join their team. As a Welder 2nd Shift, you will be part of the production department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce high-quality products.
2. Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets to organize and plan operational duties for your shift.
3. Perform inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments and conduct quality tests as required.
4. Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure efficient processes and compliance with welding standards.
5. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other department equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

1. Hold a Certified Welder’s qualification or equivalent certification from a technical institute.
2. Ability to pass the AWS Certification Test as per company policy.
3. Experience using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices effectively.
4. Capability to perform SPC procedures and interpret findings to implement process improvements.
5. Highly motivated with a willingness to tackle challenges and solve problems.
