Turner Industries Group is seeking experienced Welders for maintenance work near Piedmont, SC.

Requirements

• Resident within 60 miles of Piedmont, SC (no per diem or relocation)

Job Description

Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe, and building and bridge parts.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding
• Position, align, and fit components; bolt, clamp, tack weld, and weld parts
• Weld various materials using arc, heliarc, gas, MIG, TIG processes
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
• Use cutting torches to cut materials and demolish existing assemblies

Tools and Equipment

Employee may need to provide tools such as toolbox, wrenches, hacksaw, pipe wrench, welding gloves, safety gear, etc.

Physical and Mental Involvement

Involves climbing, lifting (30-50 lbs), balancing, manipulating objects, following procedures, reading blueprints, and working under pressure.

Work Environment

• Location: industrial sites, fabrication shops
• Conditions: outdoor climate, noise, potential chemical exposure, uneven ground, work at heights and confined spaces
