Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, United States. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and produce welded components following standard procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, inspecting welds, and assisting in troubleshooting while maintaining equipment and observing safety rules. Some experience or training is preferred, with a willingness to complete a welding program or apprenticeship.

Qualifications

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
