Job summary

Forkeys Construction & Fabrication in Cortland, NY is seeking a Full Time Production Worker/Welder to perform welding and fabrication tasks. The role requires 1-3 years of welding/fabricating experience, proficiency with TIG and MIG welding, and the ability to read mechanical drawings.

Basic machine maintenance and documentation duties are part of the job. Typical hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years welding/fabricating experience required.
• Experience with TIG & MIG welding, including setting up equipment and following procedures.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and fabricate components accordingly.
• Performs basic equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Document the part processed and keep records up to date.
• Save programs on the machine and assist with basic machine maintenance.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Welders perform various procedures in order to manufactured goods to meet quality standards and on time delivery date goals, while meeting all safety requirements.

• 1-3 years of welding/ fabricating experience is required.


• Experience with TIG & MIG, including setting up welding equipment and following welding procedure specifications is required.


• Must be capable of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and fabricating all component parts into complete assemblies.


• Performs basic equipment maintenance.


• Keeps work area clean and neat at all times.


• Documents the part processed.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to lift 50 lbs.


• Performs basic machine maintenance.

This Job is a Full time Position (40) with possible overtime in busy times.
