Job summary

Metalworks Inc. is seeking a motivated Welder to join the welding department on the second shift (4:30PM-3AM, Mon-Thu with OT as needed) in Lincoln, NE. You will read blueprints, select welding methods, and weld components with MIG and TIG processes to meet production goals.

Qualifications include an AAS in Welding Technology or 2 years of welding experience, English proficiency, and AWS D1.1/D1.3 preferred. Compensation ranges with DOE and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Welding Technology or two years welding experience.
  • AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.3 certification preferred.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Experience using MIG and/or TIG equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to verify quality production.
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare/finish welded parts.
  • Align components using fixtures, calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal).
  • Set up/operate Robotic Welding cells.
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback to help increase productivity

Metalworks is looking for a motivated, production-minded individual with a passion for quality to join the welding department. As a Welder you will be responsible for creating a quality product while meeting production goals.

AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.3 CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Second Shift: 4:30PM-3AM Monday-Thursday and mandatory OT when applicable

Compensation: $21-$26 per hour DOE

The following duties will be required but not limited to:

  • Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to verify quality production
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare/finish the welded parts
  • Align components using fixtures, calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal)
  • Set up/operate Robotic Welding cells.
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback to help increase productivity

Required Skills:

  • Experience using MIG and/or TIG equipment
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and production efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • AAS in Welding Technology or two years of welding experience
  • AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.3 certification preferred.
  • Proficient in English
