Job summary

Aerotek is seeking 30 Welders for a data center project in Fremont, CA. This contract position offers a $40/hr wage, 8am-4pm shifts, and fully onsite work at Fremont, CA (By Pacific Commons).

Responsibilities include MIG and TIG welding, pipefitting coordination, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will read drawings, maintain weld quality, support pressure testing, and collaborate with supervision and trades to meet milestones.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on cooling and process piping systems in accordance with project specifications and welding procedures.
• Install, fit, and weld pressure-containing piping systems that support critical data center cooling operations.
• Complete pipe preparation, alignment, and fit-up, working closely with pipefitters to ensure proper layout and installation.
• Produce high-quality welds capable of passing pressure testing and other rigorous inspection requirements.
• Read and interpret project drawings, isometrics, and work instructions to execute welds and installations accurately.
• Follow all site safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, safe work practices, and adherence to construction site protocols.
• Maintain weld quality standards by inspecting completed welds, correcting defects, and documenting work as required.
• Support pressure testing activities by ensuring weld integrity and assisting with test preparations as needed.
• Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Collaborate with onsite supervision, project management, and other trades to meet schedule milestones and production goals.
• Adapt to working both indoors and outdoors, adjusting methods and workflows to suit changing construction phases and site conditions.

Pay: $40/hr

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
