CRH’s Oldcastle Infrastructure division is seeking a steel fabricator/welder for an industrial manufacturing setting in Fort Worth. The role focuses on fabricating steel form parts using cutting equipment and welding to exact specifications.

Must have experience in steel fabrication (1 year preferred), read shop prints, and operate arc and MIG welding equipment. The position requires physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs and familiarity with common fabrication tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication (1 year preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read fractions and a tape measure.
• Ability to read shop prints.
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding, horizontal and vertical, with potential certification.
• Capable of using oxy/fuel torch to cut steel.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with industrial steel tooling (vertical band saw, drill press, grinders).
• Prior use of plasma cutter and overhead cranes.

Job Summary

Performs a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. Uses shop prints to weld and fabricate in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabrication of steel form parts using various cutting equipment and welding part together per specifications
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• Must have experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year is preferred
• High school diploma / equivalent
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to read fractions and a tape measure
• Ability to read shop prints
• Understanding of basic hand and power tools and their use
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding both horizontal and vertical, with ability to pass certification
• Capable of using oxy/fuel torch to cut steel
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience using industrial steel tooling such as vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, etc.
• Prior use of plasma cutter
• Prior use of fork trucks and rolling equipment
• Prior use of overhead bridge cranes
• Maintenance experience
