Olympic Steel Inc. is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support continuous improvement efforts and to weld parts per blueprints or schematics. The role includes setting up welds and assisting with warehouse duties, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Understanding of micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other measuring tools.

  • Set up and weld parts according to blueprints or schematics.
  • Assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Job description

  • Pay or shift range: $21 USD to $27 USD

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with MIG/TIG
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
