Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is seeking a skilled welder to join our 3rd shift team. You will repair non-conforming parts by MIG and TIG welding, follow safety procedures, and move parts to correct locations in the plant.

You will also tag parts, participate in preventative actions, and use the Plexus ERP system to track work and maintain a clean, organized work area. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, are certified in MIG and/or TIG welding, and can read, write,

• 3-5 years in relevant work experience.
• Certified in MIG and/or TIG welding.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely follow work instructions.

When and Where:

This will be a 3rd Shift / 10:30 PM- 6:30 AM Sunday-Thursday position located at ourPlant in Walker, MI.

Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

What You Need to Have:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
• High School Graduate or equivalent

• 3-5 years in relevant work experience
• Certified in mig and/or tig welding
• Has high standards of performance for self. Take responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes. It is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; it demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
• Able to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks as assigned
