Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a welding technician for a 1st shift position at Plant 4 in Holland, MI. The role focuses on repairing parts/components that do not meet customer specifications using Mig or Tig welding, followed by tagging and moving parts within the plant.

You will participate in preventative actions, use the Plexus ERP system, and maintain welding equipment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and Mig/Tig welding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Mig and/or TIG welding certification.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and protocols while servicing or maintaining equipment.
• Repair parts/components (Mig, Tig).
• Tag parts.
• Move parts to correct location in the plant/facility.
• Participate in preventative actions where appropriate.
• Utilization of plexus (ERP system).
• Conduct housekeeping for personal work area or shared facility space.
• Maintain welding equipment.

This will be a 1st Shift position located at our Plant 4 in Holland, MI .

What You Need to Have:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
• 3-5 years in relevant work experience
• Certified in mig and/or tig welding
• Has high standards of performance for self. Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes. Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
• Able to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks as assigned
• Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress. Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.
• Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
