Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a Weld Prep Team Member at our Pooler, Georgia facility to support welding operations by preparing materials, staging parts, and maintaining cleanliness to meet production and safety standards. You will work closely with welders and fabrication teams to ensure smooth workflows in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of manufacturing or welding support experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or welding support.
• Experience using hand tools and basic fabrication equipment.
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and components for welding by performing tasks such as cleaning, grinding, deburring, and staging parts.
• Ensure all weld surfaces are properly prepped to meet quality and welding specifications.
• Transport and position materials to support continuous workflow within the welding area.
• Assist with the replenishment of parts, consumables, and materials to minimize production downtime.
• Operate hand tools and basic preparation equipment while supporting fabrication processes.
