Job summary

JCB North America in Pooler, GA is seeking a skilled Welder to join the second shift (4:00PM – 2:30AM). The role focuses on advanced welding and fabrication of skid steers, backhoe loaders, and heavy equipment, ensuring high-quality welds that meet safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of manufacturing welding experience, proficiency in MIG (GMAW), SMAW, and TIG as needed, and the ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. Certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with MIG welding (GMAW) and ability to perform consistent, high-quality welds.
• Ability to pass welding test(s) and pre-employment requirements (drug screen, background, etc.).
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding operations including MIG, SMAW and TIG as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, fixtures, and fabrication machinery.
• Perform fabrication tasks including fitting, grinding, cutting, and preparing materials for welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot welding defects and fabrication issues, applying problem-solving techniques.
