LaForce, Inc. in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Weld Lead to oversee the Frame Welding Shop. You will balance hands-on welding with team leadership, planning daily production activities, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, mentor operators, coordinate with other departments, and uphold a culture of precision and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong welding experience, including MIG/GMAW and plasma cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and a track record of process improvement.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and relevant hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Coordinate: Oversee daily welding operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.
• Hands-On Welding: Fit, weld, and grind light-gauge sheet metal door frames with precision.
• Process Improvement: Implement solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Training & Development: Mentor team members to enhance skills and maintain high performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align schedules and address issues.
• Safety & Quality: Uphold a safe work environment and ensure all work meets exacting quality standards.
