Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector certification is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of shop-floor manufacturing experience.
• Previous MIG welding or fabrication experience is required.
• Ability to measure, compare and complete shop calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of MIG welders and fabricators.
• Delegate job responsibilities to appropriate employees.
• Train and motivate staff to meet manufacturing requirements and schedules.
• Assist with tasks as necessary to complete assignments.
• Test products and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Support safe shop floor practices and quality goals.
• Communicate changes regarding processes and procedures to staff.
• Ensure welded products meet engineering or sales specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shop floor issues as they arise.
