Job summary

Textron Systems in New Orleans is seeking a Weld Engineer II responsible for overseeing welding processes from design through fulfillment. You will work with design teams to ensure process compatibility, document welding procedures, and drive continuous process improvements.

The role requires a strong quality background and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards to support defense and aerospace contracts. Minimum three years in quality, welding, or manufacturing, plus a Bachelor’s in a relevant

Qualifications

• Three plus years of quality, welding, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience in marine, military, or aerospace contexts is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and programs.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs the technical aspects of welding processes within the SSC group.
• Interfaces with design engineering to address design for process and manufacturing.
• Documents welding processes per national/military standards.
• Coordinates improved welding processes and safety procedures.
• Performs root cause analysis and design/process improvements.
• Develops overall quality plans including instructions and records.
• Reviews designs, drawings, BOMs, and tool plans for quality
• Sets minimum quality standards, test and inspection requirements.
• Performs other job duties as assigned by management.
