Job summary

University of North Texas at Frisco is seeking a Welcome Desk Supervisor to lead the Frisco Landing front desk. This in-person role acts as a friendly gatekeeper, assisting students with inquiries and troubleshooting issues while ensuring data accuracy and clear communication with unit leaders.

The position requires an Associate's degree and three years of office experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills, with FERPA compliance expected of student staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and three years of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive front-facing presence at the Welcome Desk for visitors and students; assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Maintain open communication with Frisco Landing departments to ensure up-to-date information is shared with the Welcome Desk team.
• Keep timely and accurate data on those who contact the Welcome Desk to support staff planning and funding decisions.
• Utilize FERPA training to handle student records with care and ensure FERPA compliance by student workers.
• Develop safety readiness training with UNT PD, Frisco PD and risk management to respond to emergencies.
• Implement training for Welcome Desk staff on UNT policies; provide scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluations.
• Act as a positive representative of UNT and a role model for the Welcome Desk team.
