Job summary

The Kettle Moraine YMCA Inc in West Bend, WI is seeking a Welcome Desk Staff member for a part-time role. You will deliver courteous, professional service to members, process memberships and program registrations, and help create a welcoming environment at the West Washington branch.

Afternoon and late-night shifts with weekend rotation are available. The position requires strong communication, cash handling, and computer skills, plus a high school diploma; CPR/First Aid credentials are

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certs preferred/required within 30 days of hire.
Strong interpersonal, multitasking, problem-solving and customer service skills.
General clerical skills including computer proficiency, phone operations, and cash handling.
Ability to relate to diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

Uses active listening to provide excellent service to members and guests in-branch and on the phone.
Interviews and/or tours prospective members and sells memberships.
Builds relationships with members and connects them with the YMCA.
Registers for memberships and programs; collects payments and verifies information.
Enters all transactions into the computer and balances end of shifts.
Upholds YMCA policies and core values in all interactions.
Answers the telephone and takes accurate messages.
Performs other duties as assigned.
