Job summary

Kettle Moraine YMCA Inc in Port Washington, WI is seeking a Welcome Desk staff member for night and weekend shifts in a part-time role. The position emphasizes courteous service to members and participants and building connections within the YMCA community.

The role reports to the Membership Director and involves membership sales, data entry, cash handling, and maintaining member relations to support retention and a high-value member experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certified preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• Interviews and/or tours prospective members; sells memberships.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and to the YMCA.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Registers for membership and/or programs by inputting data in the computer, collecting the proper payment and verifying the accuracy of information on YMCA forms.
