Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a dependable Weighmaster to weigh and grade inbound scrap, operate scales, and direct drivers to unloading areas. You will assist with payments and complete all required documentation, while supporting the yard and cashier as needed.

Work outdoors in varying weather and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards of the metals recycling industry. 18+ years old, post-offer screenings may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience operating truck scales, preferably in scrap metal.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks.
• Review, inspect, and document inbound loads.
• Direct drivers to proper yard locations for loading/unloading.
• Complete required documentation for vehicles and loads.
• Process payments and maintain transaction records.
• Assist customers with questions on pricing and materials.
• Assist in other yard areas as needed.
