Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Weekend Wound Nurse to join a growing skilled nursing team. This part-time Day shift role focuses on wound assessment, treatment plans, and coordinating care with physicians and residents.

You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing with adherence to state regulations and facility policies. The ideal candidate holds an active RN or LVN license in Texas, with long-term care experience and proficiency with Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required
• 2 years' experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred
• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per nurse practice act and facility policies.
• Plan and direct resident care according to physician orders and guidelines.
• Coordinate and communicate nursing services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections as necessary.
• Maintain resident privacy and dignity in all interactions.
• Develop daily unit assignments and monitor staff performance.
• Report incidents and protect resident information per policies.
