Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a GED or high school diploma.
• 3 years’ experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise labor management and daily inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities.
• Plan labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower.
• Hire and train staff; assign daily work; conduct performance appraisals; address performance issues and resolve problems.
• Supervise receiving, warehousing, and shipping in line with company service and cost objectives.
• Conduct staff meetings and support continuous improvement.
• Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues.
• Develop and implement safe, profitable systems and procedures; manage productivity and service goals.
• Implement and report cost-saving measures and improve operational efficiency.
• Meet client KPIs and quality-system requirements.
• Plan daily work using work orders, arrival notices, customer instructions, priorities, and available resources.
• Review warehouse trends and plan space, supply, equipment, and staffing changes.
• Train warehouse staff, assess trainee progress, and delegate training.
• Monitor work quantity and quality, provide guidance, and assign lead duties.
• Keep the Manager informed of progress and problems; hold regular warehouse staff meetings.
• Assist with physical operations as needed.
• Support SOP adherence and train team members on corporate and client SOPs.
• Provide team development opportunities, motivation, and input into annual performance reviews.
