Job summary

SpartanNash in Lima, Ohio is seeking an Order Selector to complete orders by selecting products from warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and shrink wrap for customer orders. You may work in dry, refrigerated, and freezer areas and operate a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in order selecting and operating powered equipment, and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
