Job summary

SpartanNash in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an Order Selector to pick products from warehouse racks, assemble pallets, and prepare orders for delivery. You may operate powered industrial equipment and work in dry, refrigerated, or frozen areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior order selecting and equipment experience, ability to follow instructions, and the stamina to stand and lift up to 75 pounds. This is a full-time, on-site position with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.
• Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
