Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking an Order Selector to assemble and prepare customer orders from warehouse inventories. You may operate powered industrial equipment and work in dry, refrigerated, or freezer areas as needed.

You will lift cases and pallets, follow order sheets, and ensure product safety through proper wrapping and safe handling. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior experience in order selecting and equipment operation desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.
• Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
