Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner (APN) to provide patient-centered, evidence-based care with a focus on clinical excellence. The role requires weekend coverage, potential weekday and holiday shifts, and no on-call expectations.

The APN will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, perform advanced assessments, manage common urological conditions, and support program development within the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate in NP from an accredited program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive histories and physical exams by age group.
• Orders and interprets labs and studies in collaboration with physicians.
• Manages medical/surgical conditions with evidence-based care.
• Prescribes medications per NJ regulations and provides patient education.
• Participates in nursing leadership, education, and process improvement.
