Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner (APN) to provide patient-centered, coordinated care within our complex urology team.

The APN will assess, plan, and implement care, collaborating closely with physicians and staff to meet health and safety needs. Required credentials include an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, a Master’s or Doctorate in NP, NJ RN license with APN designation, NPI, CDS/DEA prescriptive authority, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate in an accredited NP program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner providing direct care.
• Participates in care planning with hospital team.
• Weekend coverage is required; may include weekdays and holidays; no call.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This position is for a per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner. Weekends are required. May require weekdays and hHoliday coverage. No call.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program. 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice. 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate). 5.
