Qualifications

• ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) registry preferred.
• New graduates must register by ARDMS or ARRT within 12 months.
• Current AHA CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ultrasound equipment for diagnostic studies.
• Assess patient orders and reason for exam.
• Document symptoms and clinical history; obtain signed consent if needed.
• Prepare patient and communicate with supervising radiologist on protocol.
• Record exam start/end times in RIS for timely radiology review.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
