Job summary

Centerboard in Melrose, MA seeks a Part Time Family Advocate to support teen parents in a residential setting. The role emphasizes stable environments, trauma-informed care, and thorough documentation, with a caseload of up to four families.

Two candidates will work Saturday and Sunday, 3PM–11PM, delivering crisis response, transportation, and daily living support while building healthier relationships and coordinating care with the team.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma and experience with youth in a residential setting.
• Preferred: Some college or a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong communication, organization, flexibility and professionalism are essential.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: complete intakes, assessments, weekly meetings, goal tracking, treatment plans and referrals.
• Documentation: maintain accurate records (progress notes, logs, incident reports, medication logs).
• Safety & Supervision: ensure resident and facility safety; lead structured activities and enforce rules.
• Crisis Response: intervene using trauma-informed strategies and report concerns promptly.
• Daily Support: transport residents, assist with chores, supervise childcare, and teach life skills.
