Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience.
• Must pass 3G weld test and other weld tests including square butt, fillet, and groove joints.
• Experience interpreting blueprints and BOMs.
• Basic math skills (weight, volume, distance).
• Self-starter capable of managing workload under minimal direction.
• Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve non-conformities.
• Overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment.
• Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position.
• Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded with heat adjustments for thick variations.
• Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Updates and maintains documentation related to job responsibilities.
• Maintains tools and equipment and keeps work area clean and safe.
