Job summary

Aurora West Allis Medical Center is seeking a Weekend Sonographer to support our Imaging team. The role offers three 12-hour weekend shifts, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus and benefits starting on day one of employment.

Joyful team environment and a focus on patient care await in the ultrasound department. Key duties include performing general, vascular and possibly cardiac exams, reviewing patient history and orders, and ensuring accurate imaging and documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Sonography.
• No prior experience required.
• RDMS abdomen and RDMS OB/GYN registrations within 3 months.
• RVT/VS certifications to be obtained within 3 months.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient history and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and adjust transducers and factors for quality images.
• Identify images and document findings for physician review.
• Maintain accurate records and billing information.
• Identify equipment issues and communicate needs to staff.
• Demonstrate patient age-appropriate care and safety.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures.
