Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Sonographer to join a high-performing Imaging team in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role offers 36 hours per week, with Friday through Sunday shifts and a $6,000 sign-on bonus, plus benefits starting on day one.

The department emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and continued professional growth in a nationally recognized hospital setting. Candidates should have accredited sonography training and ARDMS/ARRT credentials as applicable.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in an accredited sonography program.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a sonographer role.
• Professional licensure/registration as required (e.g., RDMS/RVT) and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment for general, vascular, and/or cardiac studies with quality imaging.
• Reviews patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy and completeness.
• Positions patient and selects transducers and factors for accurate imaging.
• Identifies and labels images with patient identifiers and location.
• Maintains records and enters study data into RIS; codes procedures for billing.
