Job summary

Aurora Medical Center West Allis is seeking a Weekend Sonographer to join our Imaging team. Enjoy a Friday–Sunday schedule with three 12-hour shifts, no on-call requirements, and a $6,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits begin on your first day of employment.

You will operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and cardiac studies, review records, position patients, ensure image quality, label images, and document procedures. ARDMS and BLS timelines apply in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography from an accredited program.
• No prior experience required.
• ARDMS/BLS timelines to be met as specified by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies with accurate findings.
• Review patient records to obtain clinical information and ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and select transducer; adjust factors for optimal images and patient comfort.
• Identify, label and store images with patient and study details.
• Enter patient and study information into the radiology system and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and evaluate new products for future use.
• Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to the physician.
• Provide age-appropriate care per department policies.
