Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Fri & Sat night shifts with a weekend option, 24 hours weekly. You will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with the unit team, and educate patients and families.

The role requires an Iowa or compact-state RN license, BLS certification, and basic nursing competencies. Previous acute care experience is preferred, and you will adhere to Mercy's safety and care standards while supporting the department's goals.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse training.
• Ability to perform CPR and lift requirements per job.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate information during handoffs to patients and staff.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care.
• Document nursing care in real time per hospital policy.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and support staff as assigned.
• Maintain patient safety practices and collaboration with the healthcare team.
